About me

I love books, and have loved them since I was a little girl teaching myself to read as a pre-schooler in Whitehorse, Yukon, where I lived until I was 12 years old. I continued to love them into my teenaged and adult years in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, where I continue to make my home today. I love nothing more than a well-crafted book, but a close second is helping an author reach the best version of their book possible.

I hold a B.A. in English from the Augustana University College (now Faculty of Augustana, University of Alberta) and an MSc in Creative Writing from the University in Edinburgh in Scotland. While my day job is as a communications professional, I’ve continued to pursue my love of literature through part-time work at our local Indie bookstore, participating in the NorthWords Writers Festival, and taking on freelance editing opportunities.

I primarily enjoy working on fiction, particularly fantasy and romance, but my experience also includes children’s picture book editing. I am open to editing most genres (including non-fiction works), and to copywriting opportunities, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with inquiries.

People belonging to marginalized groups, please know you are welcome and safe here, and I would be more than happy to work with you regardless of age, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, disability, and ethnicity.
